Just a few additions/corrections:

The limit is 25 points per post unless your rep power is less then 25, if it is less then 25 then your rep power is how many you can give away per post.

You have 10 rep power you can give away 10 (plus or minus) rep per post. You have 75 rep power you can give away 25 (plus or minus) rep per post.

You can track your rep in your Account profile under the Reputation tab. Account.html

You can give rep to the same person more then once per day just not back to back.

The Reputation levels can be found here: Forums/replevels.html

This will more then likely not be the permanent levels.
