Hey Guys,
I was out today when my entire crotch region got soaked by a 2L bottle of Lemonade.
What the guy didnt know was that my iPod touch was in my Pocket
I Got home, put it on charge, and noticed the screen was really high contrasted, and had visible scanlines, but everything worked fine.
I then started to use apps and installed mobile terminal and Activator from Cydia and then opened up a SoundCloud app, then the Touchscreen just stopped Responding.
I've tried Restarting the iPod and it still doesnt respond, the Home and Lock buttons still work, just not the touchscreen response.
Its really upset me as i got this iPod Touch for 30 Pounds and it was only because it was that cheap that i bought the iPod, i could never afford to buy an iPod new.
Any help guys?

An iPod is only 230 american dollars. Either just get a new one or behold the expensive price of buying an apple fix for 130 american dollars.

It may be 'Only 230' to you, but to me, it would take me 2 years to get that much again.
and the 130 fix is still out of range, i might have to go to a 3rd party electronics station and get it repaired there.

Your Digitizer is broken. This essentially is the touchscreen part behind the actual screen. You can go to Ebay and buy a repair kit for around $20 US Dollars. Just follow a tutorial on youtube and your set!

Okay, but im not sure how Water could break a Physical item, i think it might have shorted out something in the digitizer circuit.

I Restored it to 4.2.1 original, but still its a second generation so its probably over a year old anyway...
it isnt even set up or anything because i cant use the touch screen to do so, because i restored it to see if it would fix it.
