Hey everyone!
I'm posting to let you all know about an interesting alternative to purchasing a PVR. This device can cost about as much, but will record HD faster and more efficiently than most other systems and is a Video editor's dream.
The device, the BlackMagic Intensity Pro, can be purchased naturally as a PCIe x1 card. It allows you to route in an HDMI cord straight from your Xbox or PS3 to your computer, and then route another HDMI cord straight back out to your TV or Monitor. This allows you to play your console with an undetectable amount lag so you can play and capture amazing video.

If you aren't using HDMI, or prefer a more standard capture setup, you can buy the BackMagic Intensity Shuttle. It allows HDMI, S-Video and Composite inputs and fully supports USB 3.0.
