If you're just starting I would recommend a dazzle or a roxio. But a HD-Pvr is one of the best cap cards out there, and also one of the most expensive. If you're sure you want to do it for a while, I would buy a pvr. Hope I helped

I would go with a Dazzle DVC100 or a Hauppauge HD-PVR.
The Dazzle is about $80, and the HD-PVR is $140-$180. HD-PVR is the best to go with. Dazzle last you about 6 months until the start to crap out. But, if you're new to recording, the go with a Dazzle to start with, then save up for an HD-PVR. Hope it helped. :satisfied:

I will give you a list from least expensive to most expensive.....

1. Camcorder--only if you have one
2. EasyCap--about 8 to 15 bucks
3. Dazzle about 50 bucks
4. HDPvr--about 200 bucks worth the money but expensive
5. BlackMagic Intensity Pro - Prices vary

Everyone used an HDPvr though

There is one that I do not recommend called the easycap. It is cheap and has horrible quality. The good ones are the Dazzle and the Happauge HDPVR.

dazzle dvc 100 is good with s-video. If you really want a top of the line get a HD PVR. There expensive but worth it
