Well for real gamers that just want to play the legit game then yes, as more mods get released the smarter the companies get at patching them i.e black ops.

All cods will now work like black ops and mw2 and be piratically mod free.

However, the future for game modding is looking brutal. But for real gamers that just want to play the future is bright!

For modders...it looks awful.

I think Its a no and yes, Everythings getting more expensive. Games, systems and add ons. Game companies are getting greedy and i think if they keep getting more expensive then less people will buy and so the companies will get less money to create new things. So thats how it looks bad but, Games are becoming amazing in the way that they look realistic and you can play them without a controller even.

So Do you want to buy a 100$+ game that has incrediblely amazing graphics and gameplay or a 50-60$ game That doesnt look amazing or have perfect gameplay but its affordable.

Not to sound to nerdy, but gaming is the future.. Look at Machinama or G4, Machinama is one of the most popular channels on Youtube and is getting even more acctual sponsors each day. G4 is a tv station prettyy much dedecaded to video games and gaming in general.

Each day gaming gets more and more noticed as a industry with potential..

The future of gaming does look good until the games and console will cost 3x as much as they do now. In 2002, xbox games cost $40. They now cost $70. Imagine if they cost $120

In all honesty, it doesn't. Companies need to raise the price of games and decrease the price of dlc. That isn't exactly good for gamers, but its the only way for companies to start making games that are actually good.
