Well as far as i know right now no, there is no way to root the evo 4g running 2.3.3. the only possibility that might work, which i dont know for sure at all and kinda doubt, is a xtc clip. look it up. they are pricy and ive never used one before. so no i dont think so, sorry. if it wasnt 2.3.3 you would be able to. you might want to look for a way to downgrade but i doubt that is a possibility either

I dont mean to be rude, but there is no question in that. you gave me a statement, and a false one at that. there is just no google dev phone. there is the google nexus s, which is sim unlocked, and a android dev phone. I would figure out which it is and then ask me a question which i assume is why is it not 2.2 or GB 2.3.

i already mentioned the google nexus s, which is a google dev phone but its called a nexus s. I was just trying to figure out what phone his friend had, be it a google nexus s or and android dev phone. and i was asking if that was his question. If he wants 2.2 or 2.3 he has to flash a custom rom on it.

You can disable signature verification.

can you tell me what the HBOOT version is cause then i could help alot more. use google for that. And from what i have heard there is a way to downgrade the HTC DHD from 2.3.3. So i think yes you can root your phone. If you want more help i can link you to some threads for reading, but google will be your friend. Try XDA developers, its a website
