Okay this is my plan on painting my controller, tell me if I need anything else.
Take controller apart.
Wash the front and back
Sand paper the surface
Wash again
Apply coats beging to spray different designs etc
Finally apply some gloss
Is there anything I'm missing?

If you want to go another step, use a plastic primer after you sand.
