Exactly. Not only is the design new, but the ventilation areas have been moved to accomodate both horizontal and vertical positions.

Now the heat has a much better way to leave the console. If anything, it will be the same level of RROD or less. Not to mention compact chips, combined chips, smaller motherboard.

When something is made smaller, if it was redesigned right, it can give off less heat.

Still getting it, but i do remember hearing that an extra fan was installed so that it wont get RROD so it's not that much of a fail....

The new xbox is designed to shut down at a certain temperature to prevent overheating..

yes it does they tested it heres the video

and also Microsoft are using new parts an using a new chip something like vahllena idk the name
and using new parts to comlety make it and a bigger fan with more vents
