My school is so stupid they read our emails and go into our lockers everyday.

they are not allowed to go through your emails maybe your lockers with a reason but not emails but you could always make another email and why would they care what you go on at your house on your computer

of schools have you sign something saying blah blah and in there in the fine print gives them to search anything on you throughout the school day, in your locker, etc and if they supplied him with the email that email is school property = Yes they Can.

When anybody gives you anything it becomes yours and if you sign a contract then you are a dumbass for going against it which comes under other people using it aswell because IF you sign it makes you liable but whether you sign a contract or not they have to give you good cause and reason to check your e-mail and without good cause and reason they cannot even monitor what you do or look at unless it is in violation of the contract. I do not understand why a school would make or ask you to sign a contract especially to a minor that to me is screwed up and wrong. If my kids came home and told me they needed to sign a contract so that their school could violate their personal laptop information it would go straight to court and the school would be sued.

It isn't a invasion of privacy the email isn't meant for anything more than for emails and sending information like unfinished essays, and any other electronic transfers.

They have the right to search his history if he did sign, if he didn't sign he wouldn't have the email.

Therefor they have the right.
