I Think after shangri-la they have to teleport back in time and stop everything from happening,At the end of the easteregg you stop everything at der riese happening and everything goes back to normall, or it could mess up.

im pretty sure that samantha is richtoven's daughter that he killed on accident to try to save her by injecting her with 115 and that is why he is searching for the golden rod and focusing stone to power it, so that he can use it to bring her back...

I am positive that Sam is Dr. Maxis's daughter. 100% positive.
