I have an original theory that there is a link between the maps "Kino der Toten" and the map "Der Riese"
In the spawn room, go up the Olympia side stairs. Look through the glass window, and you'll see a large building that resembles a factory. Look closer, and you'll see the windows look to have boards over them, implying they want to keep something out.
This would also help with logic. Kino is AFTER Der Reise, so what if the people defending Der Reise died, and the zombies from Der Reise came to Kino der Toten?
