Im getting a new desktop soon and i was wondering what things my computer will need to run minecraft smoothly. Can someone please help A.S.A.P because im getting it this saturday

Dude really anything can run minecraft smooth. As long as it has over 3g of ram your set. Mine has 2g ram and im smooth on normal. Though a 4 or maybe 5 would be about to run on far without any problems

As long as you have over 1GB RAM and a video card with some recently updated drivers you'll run fine. Also a processor from 1980 won't run to well but most comp's now can run it.
