I live in Dorset and i went to the Bournemouth Air Festival on the 20th August 2011

After the Bournemouth Air show the RAF Red Arrows were heading to another show and on their way one of the planes crashed close to Bournemouth Airport.

The plane was guided away from houses and cars and it ended up in a field, sadly the pilot didnt have enough time to eject properly and he went down with the plane.

Sadly Flight Lieutennant John Eggings has now passed away.

He will be greatly missed by all his family , friends and Red Arrow Supporters!

RIP
