This would stress resistors and diodes before your solder point. would it not? I always used the 12V power from the main supply and then ground it to something that turns on when your xbox does. If not, it will run constantly. Even when your xbox is powered off. This is a great tut, jsut not sure what it would stress from these points compared to a constant 12V power source.

It wont stress anything on the console this is the safest way to 12v mod a xbox 360 and no it diesnt run when uts off :facepalm:

The only thing I am confused about is with the two solder points you made. Does the wire just connect from solder point 1 to solder point 2? Or is one point ground and the other positive?

Or you could just edit the nand to make it supply the fans with 12v.

Very Help full, But the way i did it was on the back of the MOBO, there are the Ground Points and The 3 12v points. I took the positive wire and soldered to the 12v point and the black ( Ground ) wire to the ground point. and works fine like that to

I always do mine under the power connector.
Safest points on the xbox. plus Direct power from the PSU.
