This isn't enough info for me to recommend a single pair of headphones, but here are some of the best. It's good to have a lot of options!

The Sennheiser HD 25-1 II would be my first choice for you. Save a little money, and get great portability, legendary Sennheiser sound, a nearly-indestructible design, good isolation, and a sound signature that is very good for rock. If you don't like the looks and have some extra money to spend, you can get them "personalized." I think that's an understatement.

They also sell an Adidas-branded model with blue pads and accents.

If you're going to be using these while you play guitar, the isolation is perfect. They're great headphones for monitoring and production.

Some of your other options are the V-Moda M80, the Hifiman RE272 (in ear), and the Westone 2(Also in ear). Have a look at the guide in the OP for even more.

Which genres you'll be listening to: Rap, Rock, Hip Hop.

What kind you want: I don't mind.

Whether you want open or closed headphones: Either is fine.

What you are listening from: iPhone

Since you're listening to very different genres, the Audio Technica ATH-M50 would be my first choice. However, if you want a more bassy signature or in-ear or on-ear headphones, there are tons of other options. You could go for the Klipsch X10 IEMs, which are incredible value right now and great for bassy genres, the Yuin G1A which is a clip-on pair, the Hifiman RE262, and a number of over-ear headphones. Have a look at the guide, since there are too many for me to list.

Ultrasone HFI580 is a more exciting sounding headphone than the M50's if you prefer that type of sound.

ZnDLobbyz, Sennheiser HD25? You could go with the HFI580 as well. If you're looking at an IEM, then the X10 is probably the best you can get. The RE262 will be too mellow sounding.

I would also recommend The Sennheiser HD 25-1 II. I bought ones for myself two months ago and I'm absolutely happy with the sound quality and beats, the latter are also very important for me as I love metal music.

Good luck anyway

You could get an XePort 3010 or 5010 for now and save up if you want something better. I honestly can't think of anything else with a bright sound under $100 other than the Klipsch S4's which are pretty average sounding. The Brainwavz M4 seems to be made for rock, but I haven't tried them. Although I still stand with saving up money for something good if you can.

Your budget (make sure you tell me what currency!) : 150$

Which genres you'll be listening to. Dubstep

What kind you want (over-ear, on-ear, in-ear, no preference, etc.) and whether you want portability. no pref

Whether you want open or closed headphones (open allows other people to hear and some sound improvements; closed headphones don't leak sound as much and are slightly limited in some ways). closed

What you are listening from (iPod, phone, desktop computer, laptop, console, turntable, etc.). ipod.
I will refer to this as your source.

Ultrasone HFI780 or HFI580. You could also look at the Denon D1100 if you want something less clunky.

This. If you want to save some money and also be able to buy them in a store, many Best Buys stock Sony XB700s and have a pair out so you can try them. If you like bass, you will love them. Bring an MP3 player!

I would avoid the S4. I can't stand the way they sound, and I don't think the're very good for rock. They're also not the best value anymore, with cheaper options sounding better. Instead I would get the Head Direct RE0. The sound quality for what you pay is incredible, and they're great for rock. They're known to be a bit light on bass, so if you're looking for something bassy, the Fischer Audio Eterna, Shure SE215, or even the refurbished Monster Turbines would be better options. If you primarily listen to rock, though, I'd definitely get the RE0.
