The Creative Aurvana Live would be my recommendation, but pricing seems to be odd right now. Maybe supply issues, I don't know.

I'd go instead for the AKG K518, which is on-ear. The K181 is also an option but it's more expensive.

I'd go for the Shure SE215, definitely. Great fit, comfort, isolation, build, and a pretty bassy signature. If you're going to be exercising with headphones, IEMs are 100% the way to go!

Bassy, used mostly for Electronic genres

Need some new cans. Currently considering the Pro900 and D2k

Heh, didn't think you'd ever ask.

Well I REALLY didn't like the D2000 for some reason. Probably the treble. I was one of the like 10 people that actually hear bad sibilance with them. There was also the clangy sounding mids. To go off the beaten path, the Sony SA5000 strangely sounds amazing with electronic (look for my review on Headfonics next week) but they really aren't bassy. Like...really not bassy. I don't really remember if anyone with an SA5000 lives close to you, but if you go to a meet they're certainly something to try with a warm source. Their quickness makes up for the lack of bass.

I actually got the chance to try a Kees modded PRO900 and I was pretty impressed. There was still some hollowness in the midrange, but not as bad as the D2000. But I admittedly haven't tried a stock pair; I've only been able to recommend them based on my experiences with the lower end pairs. Heck, I even liked the HFI780 more than the D2000. If you want a points system, the Kees PRO900 was about an 7.5, while the D2000 was a 6. I'd have to assume that a stock PRO900 would be a 7.

Also, I hate to speculate on unreleased products, but the V-Moda M100 seems interesting. Val is a pretty cool guy too.

For some reason I thought you lived close to a place where you could demo stuff. I'm guessing you're not?

You could also get a Jecklin Float to win everything ever, but they're not very bassy from what I've heard.

Surprisingly enough, my local store actually stock Ergo 2s, but no place to hear both. Leaning towards PRO900 so far. I got an Ultrasone DJ1 PRO and that is similar in size to the other PRO series Ultrasones. The headphones were not uncomfortable for me and I do like the S-logic effects. The D2K has been reported to have build problems so that -1 for the D2K.

XB1000. Come on, do it. DO IT.

Voting for Pro 900, but don't listen to me because I've heard pretty much nothing else. When I got to listen to them, I was blown away considering the next best cans I'd heard were the M50s. For electronic music, they were absolutely stunning. I didn't think they handled some other genres so well, though. I wouldn't use them as my only headphone and would have to get something like the Q701 for music the Pro 900 doesn't work wonders with. They also don't isolate very well at all, but neither do the Denons.

I think the D2000 problem's been fixed (but don't quote me on that) but they're still kind of inferior to the rest if you don't plan on woodying them.

I forgot about the XB1000! They'd be cool to have just to have them. They aren't selling for that much either.

How does the Ergo 2 sound?

PM sent.

EDIT: 3,000th POST! I need to prettify the topic, it look like garbage. I'm full of empty promises, though, we'll see!

Haven't heard the Ergo 2 myself, Although I did see FR graphs showing that they have no bass.

I guess its XB1000 or PRO900 now. Need to do some more homework on the XB1000s.
