Listening from: Iphone 4 (will have the 5 eventually if that matters) and my laptop.it's a dell
Details: I have big ears, I don't mean I have pointing out elf ears or dumbo ears, I just have big ears in general because I am 6'11'', so i would like head phones that cover my ears. I tried on my friends beat studios and they got my whole ear after adjusting them (my ear lobe was between the cushion and my cheek bone, so that gives you an idea of size. ) other than that, I would like my headphones to have great bass for my EDM/dubstep, but also have good clean sound for a band like Led Zeppelin if you know what I mean. Like i dont need excessive bass while listening to Stairway to heaven. and i play basketball so in a way, make sure they are stylish
Thank you !
I have my eyes on beats just because everyone has them and I play basketball so they are fitting. But I wanted to hear it from the pro what headphones I should get, so i posted this
The DT770pro from Beyerdynamic is pretty big even for me and I have a big head. They'll need an amp though. The sound is bassy. I'm assuming that you'll want to take them outside too so there's also the AKG K550, which is on the neutral side of things. The V-moda LP2 might be something you might like, but I haven't heard that one and only seen measurements so r00t will be a better person to ask about those. If you're an active person like your post suggests, the Studios are not for you. They do need to be babied, the Pro isn't that good for portability either, too heavy, which is rather ironic since the Pro is meant to be a DJ headphone.
Some other cans I'd consider are the Pioneer HDJ2000, Sony ZX700 & Z1000, Audio Technica Pro 700 MkII, and Philips Citiscape Uptown. The Pro 700 is a bass cannon (as confirmed again by Icy's post, haha) but I liked them for other genres as well. I daresay they're your best bet here. They're Beats killers. VERY durable, removable cable, super bassy, portable with a folding design, and not overpriced. I think you'd be very happy with them and your friends would be very much unhappy with their Beats. I would swap the stock pads for Audio Technica M50 pads, though. Huge improvement.
just picked up the philips uptowns..... OMG
Thanks for the suggestions!!!! WHAT A BUY PEOPLE
highly recommended

Do you HAVE to have wireless? There aren't very many options. There's the Sennheiser PX210 ( [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ) and TDK WR700 [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Beats quality? That's not exactly a compliment even if you were correct about the pricing.
Also Ishcabible, I regret to inform you that your avatar is shopped. I wanted to believe.

Ultrasone PRO900 with a CMoy? Maybe a Sennheiser Amperior if you want something smaller.
