Is Durability a Problem : when it comes to headphones mines tend to last me well, but I'm going to say yes.
Are These For Gaming : No, I use Astro A50s for gaming.
I'd also like for them to look good. But nothing over the top.
Thanks for taking my request.
Umm I don't really know how an in ear can look particularly good

Is durability a big priority? not really but I would want them to last a long time
Are these for gaming? yes I will be using them for gaming but mostly for Iphone 5
I also want them to look good
I like the V-Moda Crossfade M-100 please say if I should go with these or pick something else
there 200 pounds on this site [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
but they get shipped from Hong Kong so they will have no warranty but they are 70 pounds cheaper than other stores.
The M100 works. It's probably the best option unless you really like treble.
I have never bought a good pear of headphones before will I notice a big difference because I don't want to buy it and feel like I have just wasted all my money.
You'll notice a significant difference when you try to compare them to what you currently have. I wouldn't necessarily jump that high as a first good headphone, but you'll probably end up buying them anyway because you'd be curious to know how much better it gets from the $100 price point.
ShadowBoltDashie wroteParall3l wroteShadowBoltDashie wrote Budget: $350-$400
Music preference: Dubstep(mostly big bass drops), Techno, and Rock
Type: Over ear or in ear(I don't really have a set choice for this)
Listening from: Computer and possibly iPhone 5
Detail: Need to be noise cancelling, have good bass and volume. I would like them to be durable and last a while but I will be buying warranty either way. These will be used for listening to music, gaming and producing music(Mostly Dubstep and Trance.)
Can't produce music on the headphones you listen to dubstep with, unless you want all your music to sound horrible to others.
Splitting your budget:
Ultrasone HFI580, M-audio Q40, Beyerdynamic DT770 pro for listening
AKG K240, KRK KNS6400 for mastering
I don't have a problem with buying 2 separate headphones for $350-$450 each, if you could help out again and thanks
Then V-Moda M100 or Denon D600 for listening (depending on how much treble you want; M100 for less treble)
For something neutral, I advise not necessarily to use headphones, because music mastered through headphones will sound weird with speakers in my experience, but if you absolutely must, then do some research on the Paradox headphones (google it)
Any other in ear you would recommend. I'm looking for a few options, thanks

$50: Xeport 5010
$150: Beyerdynamic DT770 with a CMoy (I'm assuming the gym use is for the earphones) or if not that, then the Sennheiser Amperior is quite nice and around your budget if you get a refurbished pair and use a coupon code at VMInnovations
$150 #2: Same thing
$20: Umm...Monoproce 9927

Anything else would be a bit of a downgrade. As rather mediocre the new Denon line is, I quite liked the C300. $200 for it is absurd, but that price is pretty nice.

V-Moda M100 or Denon D600, depending on whether or not you like treble. The M100 has less treble, so some screamo songs may lack energy in comparison to the D600, but you can always use EQ

I just got a review sample of the new DUNU DN23. Dang, these have a lot of bass. I can't use them for more than half an hour without feeling a slight headache. I couldn't even listen through all of Random Access Memories with them on.

Are they for sale? I did a search for them on Amazon and found them but they were $89.99 and I don't know if they are the real ones. Could you link me to them, if the bass is what you say I might be buying those.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] That's the company store itself. I don't advise buying just based off that, and I didn't know they're $90, but preliminary impressions are positive, if you're that into bass. I personally wouldn't rank them that high overall, but if you really, really like bass, I'd put them on a shortlist.
EDIT: I think the problem is not that it has too much bass, but that there's a weird peak in the treble that I'm especially sensitive to.

I'm sure they'd be very capable of recommending speakers sub 1k - Ishcabible has said previously to me, however, to consult a specialist for anything more than that.
