They are not over-ear, but instead on-ear. I'd say this is a good thing at this budget, because some compromises tend to be made with full-size cans on a budget. The Koss Portapro. They have a very fun, bassy sound and are of amazing value.

They're small, portable, durable, comfortable, adjustable, great-sounding, and they come with a lifetime warranty that's extremely generous.

also some headphones that look pretty good too. not like the boring silver/gray/black design. something that looks pretty flashy or has a cool design. good sound quality and cool design/colors. sorry if im being too picky.

You're not being too picky! It's your money, you better get what you really want with it!

I've got just the thing for you.

The Sennheiser HD 25-1 II. No Beats can touch the sound or build quality of these. They're built like a tank and every part is easily replaceable if need be. They've got the flashy factor, and look just awesome! You do pay a bit of a premium for the colors, but to you, it might be justified. They're still great headphones for the price. Here is the original version. They're pretty good-looking themselves.

The only problem I could foresee is the blue earpads fading from being used while you're sweating. I think they come with a black pair, so I'd use those while you're working out. Another option would be to get a cheaper pair of in-ear headphones like the Meelectronics M6 (15 bucks and very good sound for the price) for when you're running and such.

I'd get the Head-Direct RE0. They're one of the best rock IEMs out there at this budget. I would also buy them directly from Head-Direct (Hifiman).

If you want the absolute best headphones for rock in that price range, look at the Grado SR125i. They will not excel with electronic genres, but there's simply nothing better for rock music that Grados.

If you're looking for something that will handle all of you music equally well, I'd go with the Audio Technica ATH-M50s. Awesome sound quality for the price, built extremely well, and very comfortable among other things. There's a reason people recommend these so often.
