Listening from: iphone 5S.

Details: they HAVE to be durable, getting tired of splashing out on a pair of headphones and having them last 2 months.

BEATS ARE TERRIBLE! Why don't people understand this? Extremely overpriced for something that you could get for cheaper. You do realise they aren't even used in studios? ANYWHERE.

The new ones actually aren't that bad. They're not worth $300, of course, but neither are a lot of the $300 headphones that have come out recently. I'd probably pick the Studios over the Sennheiser Momentum for example.

I wish I could answer the previous ones, but I've been out of the budget headphone loop for a while, but I can definitely help with this one since I've been exploring the $400-500 rung a lot lately:

If you can deal with an open headphone, I can't think of much better than the Grado PS500, but if you want something closed, the ZMF T50RP (the Classic/V1 version) and an amp is absolutely fantastic. If you want something smaller, the Bowers and Wilkins P7 is pretty good with alt rock, but a little inferior to the ZMF at almost twice the cost. I don't really know what you mean by "studio" style actually. You mean something like the Beyerdynamic DT770?
