Except... They're garbage. You can't say they're amazing unless you've done research on other headphones that either compete with it or are in the same price range. You'll find that people who know IEMs agree with me. If you can return them, do so.
Don't get Beats for Christmas. Do yourself a favor and tell me what you need by answering the questions/filling out the form I posted. You can get much better sound and build quality for a fraction of what you would pay for Beats.
Also, how does this pertain to the topic? Read the OP.

Sorry for my absence guys, I've been busy and will be until further notice. I might not be able to help people for a few days, but I will be back. I just had to take care of that last post. It's not an impression I want to make on people viewing this topic.

Your budget (make sure you tell me what currency!) 100 - 200 Canadian
Which genres you'll be listening to. Dubstep electro trance dnb
What kind you want (over-ear, on-ear, in-ear, no preference, etc.) and whether you want portability. over-ear
Whether you want open or closed headphones (open allows other people to hear and some sound improvements; closed headphones don't leak sound as much and are slightly limited in some ways). closed
What you are listening from (iPod, phone, desktop computer, laptop, console, turntable, etc.).
I will refer to this as your source. IPhone

lol same, too much money though... the only reason I'd want them is to look cool.
My $20 skullcandies sound the same as my friend's beats lool
Budget: $150 or less
Music preference: skrillex (techno), pop, most genres; i have an array
Type / form factor and portability: doesn't matter, just don't want anything that looks like koss portapro (too weird looking) or abnormally large headphones
Open/Closed (Not for in-ear): whichever one makes it so others can't hear my music (unless in a very quite room, I'm talking on a bus/plane) I'm very insecure about my music choices . I don't want noise cancellation, those cost too much.
Source(s): ?
Side note: I don't really like headphones like the apple ones (not in ear yet kindave in your ear...) i think they're called earbuds. they hurt my ears. I want something that's over ear.
I will be listening from an iPhone 4S
occasionally from my laptop, although not often
my currency is US dollars ($)

Budget: $100 US
Music preference: Rap
Type / form factor and portability: In ear headphones
No apple headphones, I will use these mainly for Ipod, and phone music, maybe occasional laptop

For around 150 USD, the Audio Technica ATH-M50 is one of your best options. Since Trance and DnB tend to thrive with headphones that have a bright signature (in my experience), I'd recommend a balanced/neutral headphone as middle ground between genres that thrive with dark headphones, like dubstep and electro. The M50s do very well with nearly all genres, are built like a tank, are extremely comfortable, and can be found for much less than retail.
If you want to spend a bit less, the Koss DJ100 is an excellent option.
