My earthquake theory:
8/20/2011: A hurricane got announced
8/21/2011: They said it was growing bigger
8/22/2011: They said it will be big but not the biggest
8/23/2011:They say it will be the biggest ever and wipe out South-East
8/23/2011: A earthquake hit the East coast
Who ever stopped to think that maybe that hurricane shifted the plates to cause this to happen?
I know who...

Hurricans cannot shift the tectonic plates.. a hurrican is to do with high and low pressure in the air colliding and swurling. Tectonic plates are thousands of miles below the sea. I think you just got. SLAPPED.

There is no way on earth that a hurrican could of shifted the tectonic plates. if it did then the hurrican would of had to ripped up tons and tons of dirt in the ground. Thousands of tons of water ect. to ever get CLOSE the to plates.

Hurricanes won't move the tectonic plates, just the convection of magma underneath the Earth's surface.
