I was in Primary School when 9/11 happened

i had just finished eating a jam doughnut on my high chair after pre school i was like 4-5 and my dad was watching the news and he picked me up and turned my chair around cause he didnt want me to watch it and i still remember it till this day .. And btw i live in the uk

I was driving to my first class of the day (I think it was Biology 201 or something). I was late waking up, so hadn't turned on the TV or anything, and it was one of the days when I wasn't listening to the radio...

Walked onto campus and saw a lot of people upset and grouped around talking...still didn't think much of it as I was getting ready to be late for class. Got to the building and noticed that no one was in any of the classrooms. Got into class, and saw about only 3 of the people in class (it was a giant lecture corse so there was generally about 50-60). TV was on and you could see the footage.

Pretty shocking day. I was 19 at the time and just thought I was watching some stunt or something that had gone horribly wrong. Immediately left class and went back to the car and turned on the radio. The next 24 hours I was glued to CNN/MSNBC.

Still horrid to think of what happened. I didn't know anyone personally that it affected (I live in Missouri...don't know anyone from the NY area), but still felt a sense that I personally was attacked.

Still can't believe it was 10 years ago. Seems like it was just yesterday. RIP to those involved w/ the horrible tragedy especially those in the fire dept who risked their lives trying to save others.

I was in the living room in California (I don't live there now) getting ready for school with my mom and saw it on the news. Very sad.
