Wow why does everyone over react. Its just a hurricane. I bet you've gone through at least 2 hurricanes if your on the east coast, probably more. And even with the earthquake. Okay, first earthquake in a while but few got hurt and you guys are acting like its the end of the world.

My theory: Strong winds, heavy rain and perhaps power outages. No more no less.

First: were NOT over reacting
Second: the last time we had this strong of a hurricane was in 1994 (ct direct impact) and in the mids 1980's for NY. So it's been over 15-25 years and everything changed. So that means that NO ONE is really prepared for this

By "changed" you mean buildings that can withstand more, better emergency plans, and since we've had something like this before, we will be much more prepared.
