xMLGxV1209 wrote so y does Vick get a second chance??????

Because he has an amazing talent.

In today's sports, if someone's talent is so tremendous, people tend to look the other way a lot when it comes to off the field issues. If Vick was a scrub w/ no athletic ability when he played for ATL...he would be hated, scorn, and shun from the NFL. But, because he is so gifted athletically, people tend to forget any transgressions he had off the field.

I'm all for people getting second chances, and I'm glad Mike Vick is making the best of his 2nd chance. He is a polarizing figure. People are going to either love him...or hate him.

No one said what he did wasn't wrong...you asked why he got a second chance...I answered the question for you.

Like it or not...that's professional sports. Teams want to win and make money...Vick does both for a franchise.

Dante Stallworth got drunk and killed a man while driving...no one mentions him. Last time I checked he's starting in Washington. Whether or not you agree with Vick getting a second chance, in the end money talks and BS walks. I know it's not a perfect world, but it's reality.
