i was playing crysis 2 on my pc and just quickly checked my ati overdrive and it said the temp of my gpu was 79 degrees is this normal? i have a AUSUS HD6870DirectCu factory overclocked black edition

That's a bit hot. I'd say anything over 70c is unacceptable. Is your case well ventilated?

79 seems a little high. its obviously going to get hot playing a game, but thats a tad too hot.

check your air flow, clean your fans, etc

lol i found out what it was i had the clock on 1050MHz

It comes stock at 915 MHZ, right? Quite a high OC.

yea its 915MHz with the voltage tweak
