Hey First let me say I know this isnt jailbreaking but this is the only iphone section on here. So without further a do, I have a question. Me and my friend were going to buy some iphones from our rich friend (has everything). We were wondering is we put our sims from our basic phones in the iphone if it would auto start a data plan charging? We want no part of the bullsh!t with the internet payments. We just want texting calls and thats it. Many people have been giving us mixed responses on charging money or it staying a basic plan. Please let us know!!!

the iphone is a smart phone... you can either:
-use the iphone as an ipod (you can download apps to call or text BUT ONLY IN WIFI)
-buy the data plan for it ($30 for unlimited calling and texting). you do not have to pay an additional $29.99 for unlimited internet (although it is 100% worth it)
how much are you buying the iphone for? new, it is:
$200 with a 2 year contract
~$600 retail
