It's not pointless, the more views you get, the higher your video will go on the search.
Say you make a new video called How To No Scope on Mw2. When people search "How to no scope on mw2" Your video will be at the bottom of the search. Now if you get more views, say like 10,000 when people search "How to no scope on mw2" Your video will be at the top.
