A 6.4m long crocodile suspected of attacking several people has been caught in the Philippines.
The beast, which weighs 600kg, was caught in a creek in the province of Agusan del Sur after wildlife and fisheries officers set up traps, GMA News reports.
The traps were set up after residents reported a series of attacks in the area.
In 2010 a young girl disappeared near the Augusan Marsh, but it is not known if the caught crocodile was responsible.
Ronald Nuer, project director of the Bunawan Municipal Council, said it took 21 days to catch the male crocodile.
It twice broke from restraining ropes before it was properly secured and it became extremely "aggressive" several times.
It is believed the crocodile will be relocated to planned ecotourism park.
