Yeah just keep your original firmware backed up on your computer and when the new update comes out just put the old firmware back download the update and put the flashed one in and your ready.

but do it on a crappy arcade incase u get banned.
also UNFLASH before updating the dash, otherwise u get banned

id say no because yes $60 is alot to pay but if it gets banned by one of these updates then your out an xbox, unless you buy a used one from gamestop then return the one you have

What if I only played backups? how likely is it to get banned then

i would do it if your only using it for games to play offline, you could get banned to easily. Expecially with the new disks coming out for games, if your not using the new disks, then they would be able to tell, just use it for offline games if your going to use it.

Do using backup disks increase your chance of getting banned?
