Me and a few people are talking about this, I say they aren't because they have no attributes of dubstep and the vocals overpower the songs which no proper dubstep has. What's your thoughts?

i thought modestep was a type of dubstep?

i wouldnt put them in that section but the song sunlight by them is definetly dubstep

He definitely is dubstep the beat or the bass might be weak but I still consider him dubstep.

DUBSTEP is not what you think it is, there is many forms of music which people just bung into 1 genre, drumstep for example is a variation of dubstep and dnb but yet forms its own genre when it shouldnt it is actually dubstep. Just because msuic is not always in its traditional form ie dubstep does not mean it is not because its not the same as everything else, its called originality.
