Cheating, hacking, and modding pretty much mean the same thing.

Cheating - Modded controlers or "cheat codes"
Hacking - Illegally taking control of someones computer, accounts ect
Modding - Scripting a menu and applying it for the fun of everyone
Infections - Benefiting the person using tehm ruining the game for the rest.

Those definitions are used for computers except infections i'm talking about consoles when you think about they pretty much mean the same thing.
