Secret Society to take over the world I think

The Secret Society of the Illuminati began as a scientific group. As they grew, they realized that their beliefs of how the world began were correct because they were scientific. That is when they came up with their goal. The Illuminati wanted to erase the religion of Christianity and overthrow central government, mostly because of Vatican City. They only became "hostile" when the pope ordered three Illuminati members to public execution. That is when they really got serious. In today's world, many people believe the Illuminati control the US's and many other world powers' governments,music industry, and many other things. These beliefs could be true or false.
