i see that alot of the people blalming the parents when really its not their fault it may have been under the bed or closet and the kid just found it. 1 of my friends did this he found the gun under the bed but the child in this case knew how to use a gun so it is all the childs fault

A few questions crossed my mind, care to answer them?
What was the gun doing in reach of either of them?
Obviously they were left alone, am I correct? Then the parents must be at fault here.
Where were the parents while their 12 year old son had a rifle in his hand aimed at his brother?
There is no way that the 12 year old didn't know what he was doing. It states he has hunting experience... so clearly he can tell if the gun is on safety or not. He knows to turn it on, unless his father didn't teach him any safety with guns.... It all leads back to the parenting.
I'm not sure if you guys know how much lighter a rifle would be without bullets in it, but you would be able to tell the difference. Especially if you are 12 years old.
Just a few thoughts that crossed mine during the read.. Interesting story, thank you.
