no my friend did that for real though, he couldnt read the code and they said no

tried it myself told me to take it back to the shop i bought it, they gave me a new code which was ok.

you should ask to be escalated to a higher level.

I called again and it was a different person (an American) and she said she will try an do everything to replace the code. she directed me to a higher authority and they will call back with in 24 hours. I told them i bought the card and scratched the actual letter off and best buy will not exchange the card. I read her off every digit except 2 of them. I gave her all legit info on me. So well see what happens tomorrow I guess.
