There is absolutely nothing wrong with being good at any of the COD games. There is nothing wrong in general about wanting to have your on montage. But the amount of just garbage half assed material out there makes it so overrated now. The montage community and level of production doesn't even hold a card to the one of Halo3 and now Reach. Everything shorter then 2 minutes shouldn't even be considered a "mini-tage" or "edit" whatever you want to call it. A real montage, with decent clips, and production value is a process. You can't just put up 5 clips and edit the **** out of them so it's "legit". It's just one of my personal pet peeves. I personally enjoy editing in general, my skills aren't as professional and up to par for some. But it's a hobby that I enjoy. It's just very frustrating to see "mini-tages" and "edits" being uploaded hourly on youtube by THOUSANDS of wannabe FBWalshyFTW. Yes everyone's trying to make it big on youtube. But at the same time, not ANYONE can commentate, which is probably one of the most annoying things. Listening to 12-15 year olds who haven't full developed and trying to elaborate on game play. Very small percentage can pull this off, but for the most part they cannot! Yes it's freedom of speech, and it's not going to stop and Blah Blah Blah. It's just whats making me frustrated today. That is all. <3

I've never really like CoD montages, but I Love Halo ones.
I don't know why, but I think getting a string of medals, is far more impressive than, getting kills in a row.
Also(please don't rage at me) I think Halo takes a little more skill, purely because you have to get an aim, and then maintain it for the kill.
I didn't mind MW2 montages so much, they were often much faster paced than Black Ops, but I still don't think they hold a candle to Halo.
I don't know why, but I think getting a string of medals, is far more impressive than, getting kills in a row.

Dude I agree 100 percent.
I am so sick of all these kids getting PVR's
All these new youtube kids posting crappy cod 4 videos.
Also every montage has music, they mostly consist of

2.Wiz Khalifa
3.Mac Miller
Now don't get me wrong here...I love dubstep and some of mac and wiz songs but i think it's kinda ridiculous now. All the SWAGGGGG kids and z0mg i gots a pvr, time to post 1000000 test videos with a crappy edit.
I love good montages with nice music, gameplay, and maybe some commentary.
It's just a bit over done now.
Don't hate on me, that's just my honest opinion.

Halo will always take more skill. No matter what anyone says, there more strategy,skill, and elaboration involved in the whole game. Halo was the platform game for the MLG, you need to realize what it is now, 9 years ago it was nothing. Now it's a multi million dollar company with halo being it's flag ship. The reason I rip on COD montages is because with BlackOps your given all the features Halo had over it, minus the medals which I agree are more impressive.

Your right too, the worst part about COD montages is they all have the same basic effects.. they use hard cuts, and a almost Special Ops theme if that makes sense.
