1. grab your save from your hard drive.
2. extract gamesave from usb or hard drive
3. open the save editor, and browse your save.
4. edit to your likings and hit save.
5. transfer the save back to your usb or hardrive

NOTE: DO NOT MOD XP ON ANYTHING BUT v1.8 JUST MOD LEVEL, AS THIS IS A NEW MOD TOOL THERE IS BUGS.

and no i didnt copy this if you look at the date this was posted "I" was the first to post this in the Dead Island section as i was talking to Dime and hippie when they made the section.

new stuff in 1.8:
A LOT of new items you can max, bugs to the XP and level editor have been fixed. New background. Can add durability now to! a lot of bugs fix, this is all around really sick!

new stuff in 1.9:
The text color was changed so all the visual issues have been fixed. The weapon durability modifier works better now, and a few new items have been added.


This is a mod tool made just for editing the amount of items in you inventory, unlike the Dead Island Mod Tool v1.7 it words a lot better, BUT is still very buggy. Its a very simple and self explanatory to use so have fun

IF IT WONT LOAD YOUR SAVE, IT MAY BECAUSE ITS STILL VERY BUGGY, YOU MAY NEED TO MOD YOUR SAVE WITH Dead Island Mod Tool 1.7 FIRST THAN TRY, OR MAKE A NEW SAVE GAME. IF YOU CANT GET IT SORRY THERES NOT MUCH I CAN DO UNTIL THE MOD TOOL IS UPDATED.

To edit 1 specific item just click the item you want to edit, than a number will appear at the bottom. Click the number and edit it to your liking.

always make a backup, with any mod tool there is a chance of corruption in the save file.

my pre-modded save includes: lvl 50, extra weapon durability, a few weapon mod blueprints, 99999999$, an infinite ammo auto-rifle, an infinite ammo shot gun, an infinite ammo magnum, an infinite ammo pistol, an infinite ammo burst rifle, an infinite ammo single shot rifle, a few good melee weapons, and is at Act 1 Chapter 1

Here is a new Dead Island mod tool that was released today!
not to sure how well it works but it is pretty well done.


1. grab your save from your hard drive.
2. extract gamesave from usb or hard drive
3. open the save editor, and browse your save.
4. edit to your likings and hit save.
5. rehash and resign with horizon, modio, ect.
6. transfer the save back to your usb or hardrive

this is a brand new tool so it will be buggy, but feel free to have some fun with it!

UPDATES WITH v1.6:
Almost all the bugs have been fixed, and new items added to the editor.
