The MW2 camos are not back in MW3 :S They were just place holders to show where the camos go. But yea Gold is confirmed Source: youtube.com/mw3link

Gold camo is confirmed via leveling up a gun and to do that is getting certain amounts of headshots and kills. Also when leveling up your gun you unlock the proficiency i.e Kick, 2 attachments and so on.

All this was confirmed at CoD XP and the press event the day before XP.
