I ripped a game I own to my jtag, and when I tried to play it, it gave me a warning that it had to go through security checks to initialize the game. My jtag is not connected to the internet, so whatever security it was trying to install or initiate was on the disk.
I stopped the install because I was afraid it might brick my jtag. Is that possible, even though my jtag is not connected to the internet?

So, if I would have let that security check install, would that have completely bricked my jtag, or would it have just not allowed me to play that game?

Well, that's good to know. Do all modern games have that?

Best 3 things to prevent jtag from bricking.
1) Update to latest freeboot dash version. (Currently 13599)
2) Remove or bridge the cpu resistor to protect efuses. (Look here: Forums/t=590500/tut-how-to-remove...istor.html)
3) Remove the system update folder from your games before running them.

Number 3 seems to have solved that problem for me.
Thanks, man!
