As we all know the $2 used to be printed but not anymore. Why did the government stop making the $2 bill?

it started circulating in the 90's but the government soon found out that it was not convenient, cash registers did not have a slot for it to be store, and machines would not accept the 2$ bill, (the same goes for the Sacajawea coin)

The US $2 bill is still in circulation today but it accounts for under 1% of all circulated bills. It was discontinued in 1966 but reintroduced 10 years later. You can still get them from a mint and they are still found in circulation. Being so they are not that rare.
