Notice: I use this sometimes when my other computer won't shut down. It has a problem and it's old.

Tutorial - Windows 7 and Windows XP

Open Start Menu
Search: cmd
Type in: shutdown -i
Type in their IP Adrress
Follow instructions on Screen and click Ok.


This shuts it down.

This is Legal, since it's already a program installed on your computer!

Example: I did this in a computer lab at school. All their IP Addresses were on their Desktop Background, that's just how it was set up. So I shut down like half the computers in the computer lab and everyone just startet to freak out.

Does this work on anyone's computer providing you have the IP address?. Or I it just local computers i.e on your network. Because I tried this a while back on a friends PC an it didn't do anything.

i thought this was only for local networks too. some post an ip and we can test it
