EDM= Electronic Dance Music. Genres such as house, hardstyle, trance, happy hardcore, electro, electro house, dubstep, drum&bass.

Everyone one here is on that Skrillex hype and think OMG BEST DUBSTEP EVARRRR!!1!!-___-

1. Skrillex is barely dubstep. More electro-house than anything.
2. You know nothing about real EDM music if all you listen to is Skrillex and songs from UKF on youtube.
3. If you think UKF is an artist(which I've seen people post on here that think it is), you fail epically.
4. Listen to broader range of electronic music. Dubstep is good, yes. But theres so many genres of EDM out there.

Finally some examples of other good EDM genres.

First: Hardcore/Gabber:
Art Of Figters- Do or Die

Neophyte: Skullfu_k

Second: Hardstyle:
Tha Playah- Why So Serious?

Showtek- Here We Go

Third: Trance:
Cosmic Gate- Tomorrow

Above & Beyond- Sirens Of The Sea

Fourth: House:
Hardwell&Chuckie- Move it 2 the Drums

Avicii-Enough is Enough

Fifth: Dubstep:
NiT GriT-Serotonin Syndrome

Sixth: Drum&Bass
Sub Focus- Ghost N Stuff(Remix)

And Finally, Electro:
Caverton-Doggy Style

/Rant over. Just letting all you noobs out there know whats up.

People can like Skrillex & UKF and not be a noob man, you need to chill out.

Im hugely intro producers such as, Knife Party, Feed Me, 12th Planet, Kill The Noise, and Skrillex.

& Ive been producing Electro/Complextro/Dubstep for over a year now

So your calling me a noob for liking UKF ?

PS - Skrillex is Dubstep/Complextro/Electro.
Are you gonna tell me that First Of The Year, In For The Kill Remix, Right here, isnt dubstep ? :=?

Skrillex has a lot of dubstep, as well as a lot of electro house, but you are right he is not the best out there. BTW its UKF not UFK.

Dubstep rhythms are usually syncopated, and often shuffled or incorporating tuplets. The tempo is nearly always in the range of 138-142 beats per minute.

^^^ None of that was the point of my post. I wasn't ranting over Skrillex. I'm just letting all the noobs that are getting into dubstep that it's not the only genre of EDM. Theres a LOT of edm genres to explore, that I find a lot better than dubstep. Yes, I like dubstep. I don't have a problem with it. But it just sucks that SO many people are on the dubstep hype and don't even know about the roots of EDM such as hardstyle.
