i have a modded gta iv disk that i burned and is wondering if you can hot swap without the original disk. i have the real gta iv game downloaded to my hard drive, is there any way to do this?

i dont think so you need to real game to hot swap if i were you i would get your xbox flashed so you can just put in the disc and is works like a real game no hotswap needed

You need the regular disc to hotswap. For a flashed Xbox, I don't think you need the disc.
