Very nice post here, it's actually kind of helpful for me since I know what programming language I should focus of rather than being a jack of all trades, master of none.

Still going to be a lot more difficult for myself since I'm down in the southern hemisphere :l

I am SO glad that you posted this. You know why? Several of my friends always wanted to get into the gaming business and I always tell them it is going to take your whole life and dedication towards it. It's not going to be shizz and giggles and now I'm going to SHOW them this post about your interview with other people in gaming industry that it is very challenging to get into.
