I use willowtree# to get some things and whenever I change something in the inventtory the xbox freezes

thats because you have a lot of items in your inventory

It's most likely freezing because the items/guns you have don't have manufactures, so just don't sort your guns.

if it is freezing because you are sorting your guns then you most likely have a gun in there with out a manufacturer. most of the time when this happens for people they have the invisible stock sniper rifle

Just make sure you follow the following and you should solve your problem.
Make sure you are not using a transfer cable.
Try to keep your inventory under 10,000 items.
Your game might freeze if you have imported a save from before the patch. This includes guns and shields of all types that might have been patched.
Make sure you have enough space on your USB or hard drive.
Try to rehash and resign after you are finished modding.
Modio > Open Save > Select Save > Rehash & Resign

dude... i ONLY USE a transfer cable to mod, so much faster and easier to mod using one
It's impossible to mod most of borderlands with a transfer cable as of the 1.3 patch.
Usually it will corrupt your save or freeze your xbox when you try doing so.
Transfer cables are still capable of modding, just not on borderlands.
