When i turn on my xbox i can hear it starting up but theres no picture. Suggestions?

free way !!!
buy a refurbished 360 and swapp the plastic casing in your old one put the old one in the new box and tell them you want your money back !!! it works

Look in the back of your xbox where your AV cable plug starts. There should be a switch. If you're on a SDTV, switch the switch from HDTV to SDTV... vice-versa.
