I had braces for a VERY long time, so here is my advice:
1. Everytime you get them tightened, they are going to hurt, BAD, so you should eat things you dont need to chew, I used to eat Spagettios, applesauce, ect.
2. They say not to eat certain things, but they are wrong, I had popcorn, gum, all that crap and everything went fine
3. BE SURE to go to the bathroom between meals, ESPECIALLY at school, because there is usually stuff stuck in the brackets, and it is utterly disgusting, so wash it off.
Hope I helped a little!

If I were to advise you on foods. Protein shake. They're nice and filling.
Honestly, my braces were killin for about 1 hour then the next day I was eating normal at school. It depends on the person. Best wishes

Just get something to drink, better then going on an empty stomach or some times you can find mash potatoes at my school.
Or if your a junior or senior drive yourself to mcdonalds or even home.

I had the same problem, you could always take applesauce to school, or some rice.
