This.

Socket 1336 is history ever since socket 1155 Sandy bridge chips came out.

Also, please don't skimp on the PSU. It literally is hands down the most important part of your PC. It's the backbone of everything. It's like buying a sweet car that had cool specs but a weak engine...it's like why? I hear horror stories of some of the ''value'' PSU's whine, break, fry, explode and take mainly everything with it, fry the connectors between the video card and PCIE power connectors. Grab a PSU from a more reputable brand such as Seasonic / Corsair / Antec.

I totally Disagree. 2500k's are for people that are on a budget that cant afford good i7's. Obviously he can. Just my only concern is the PSU, it seems a but small. But it is an excellent system.

Ummmmm, you have no idea what your talking about.

If he wants to upgrade he needs a new mobo BEFORE a new processor.

Socket 1336 is GONE FOREVER!

Sandy Bridge i5 2500k vs Intel 960-990x

2500k wins

i7 has hyperthreading which I doubt this guy needs

Just proved you wrong on everything
