I personally am a retro lancer guy, and I hate when people camp in the back of the map and spray me with their lancers. Kind of ruins the Gears multiplayer experience in my opinion.

But anyways, what do you use? Hammerburst,Retro Lancer, or just the lancer?

i think spraying with a rifle that has a shit load of damage is gay i also can't stand people that only use shotguns it is so stupid

But I saw a commentator who said that shotguns were overpowered and I wanted to hang myself.

my first time playing GOW was in GOW3 and I liked it, although its been ,what, a month almost since it came out, and I find myself bored as hell and going back to Black ops. First off there are only 3 main guns to choose from, and two shot guns. Come on! Are there any secretly hidden guns somewhere else, besides the ones you pick up from dead opponents? Truth be told. Whoever the creators of this game are, they didnt take time to realize that having more options in artillerly is important. Why couldnt they add at least 1,2,or 3 more guns? Also all these people commenting complaining about how the people who use the Lancer have no skill? Lancer = smooth shooting, sure its weak, but not that weak. Ive used the retro Lancer and can you say recoil from hell. You cant even point and shoot at your opponent because your gun bounces all over the place. Seriously what do you all like about the retro lancer? In my opinion, its a pain in the ass to use, so I never choose it and I will only pick it up if I am out of ammo and there is no other guns to choose from.

All three of the starting rifles have their own advantages/disadvantages. None are better than the other, it's simply preference.


Lancer: Nice Range/accuracy, slightly weak.
Hammerburst: Nice Range/accuracy (less than lancer), average power.
Retro Lancer: Shortest range/accuracy, Lots of power. (Good against sawed-Offs)
