ok welli have 6 leds hooked up to a 12v source but when i turn my xbox on they are dim and when i turn it off they stay on and get brighter how do i fix this?

either get a better connection or new leds

yeah i figured out that i accidentally had it soldered on the standby so i re soldered the points to the dvd drive but one strand is still not lighting up and i know for sure that they are arranged right. i have 3 strands with 3 leds on each with 100ohms resistors on each.

im already using the 12v points on the left and right for extra fans but when i use the one in the middle the usb ports don't work. Are there any other good spots that wont draw power from something else?

if i were you and already drawing power from those points i would not draw anymore power to power anything else as you could cause the console to stop functioning altogether or even worse cause a mosfet to blow - use an external supply, just a normal 12v adapter would do

Just tie one line into the 12v spot and then use that end to tie w/e else to it.
I've run over 70+ leds from the one spot AND fan mod so it'll be fine...
